Sometimes I get a red "x" where a picture should be when viewing web sites using IE 8. Any ideas?

First off, if your hard disk is nearing full then get rid of your temporary files.
Second, show Pictures check box is selected on the Advanced tab of the Internet Options.
Third, check your security level in Internet Options and make sure scripting, activeX controls, cookies, and Java programs are enabled.
