Virtual memory

I have an older computer that has 512 ram. (Will be getting a new one) Quite often with games the computer starts "grinding" and I get a message; Virtual Memory is Low.

My paging files in virtual mem are set at 768 low - 1660 max.

Can I change this setting to help with game play and keep the machine from bogging down? It slows down in a major way.

it will continue grinding because it reading and writing off your hdd. the only way to stop that is to upgrade your physical memory or try readyboost if you have vista.
