Spec: Tiny M64 Laptop AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 1g RAM
DVD-RW, Removable Floppy Drive. XP Home SP2.

I am running Virtual PC and I have already got Suse Linux on it but I'm having trouble running anything that requires DOS. I.E. 98, ME...

It boots fine, I fdisk and format, then when it comes to d:setup, it doesn't recognise my DVD-RW drive.

After d:format, I get "Invalid drive specification", I've tried doing D: at the a: prompt but I get the same as above.

Any ideas?

Try all the letters of the alphabet, if windows is not installed then there is nothing to govern what leter gets assigned to which drive, it usually ebnds up being something like X:/ or Z:/
