Virtual XP Mode Compatability?

Hello all,

I'm wondering how much virtual XP you guys have used. I have an older game that only works in XP (Well, it runs with severe color corruption in Vista and 7). So I tried installing the game in virtual xp mode, and every time I launch it, I just get a Fatal application error, where I can 'send' or 'don't send'.
Has anyone had similar problems to this?

XP mode in Windows 7 is not compatible with video games that need direct access to the video card (as most do).

Nope. It is just like Virtual PC, it emulates some crappy graphics card which won't play games.

Half the time I do that it f***s with my computer. Can't stand XP .
Ever since Vista/7, I don't like installing drivers anymore.

I don't blame you, but running games in the native OS is the best way to go.
