Virus on memory

[ANNR]

I used spyware doctor to scan my pc and every time it finished the scan it will detect a spyware/virus and was able to fix it. But after it fix it a message will popup and saying it virus/spyware was deleted from memory, and it ask me to restart the computer.

When i restart the computer the spyware doctor will come up right away and scan my system again and same spyware/virus will come up and everything is the same over and over again.

I dont think the spyware doctor is fixing the source of that spyware/virus.

You mean you didn't buy the full retail version that somehow removes this strange trojan? When you try out sharewares like that or Webroot's Spysweeper you will see the message that this and that has been found but you "need to buy"... blah! blah! blah! horse droppings! How about a free one that does work? http://www.spywareterminator.com/ AVG 7.5 and the Grisoft replacement for Ewido are both found "free of charge" at http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/lng/us/tpl/v5#avg-anti-spyware-free

Lose the Symantec stuff when you can for something better! Your log shows a few inactive registry values that appear to be something easily fixed or simply removed by a free registry cleaner like the one found at http://www.majorgeeks.com/RegCleaner_d460.html

I do have the retail version of the spyware doctor. It removed alot of the spyware/virus from my pc but there just this one that keep coming back.

I will try AVG 7.5 and see what happends.

Take a look at the Spyware Terminator as well. It does have a builtin firewall that alerts you to pests as well as being an annoyance until all of your regular startups are covered. It likes to find the data miners that AdAware and others seem to miss too. Regardless AVG is still a good tool to have onhand.

The memory that spyware doctor was refering to, does it mean the RAM?

That's the gimic often seen where there is supposed to be a bug of some type being loaded into high memory that gets put there by the shareware. "To see this removed you must buy the full retail version... blah! blah! bunk!"! The likelihood of a new one suggests they probably have a newer version to buy or something slipped right past it. While AVG does have retail versions for home and business there's none of that seen. The retail versions simply offere more features.
