virus protecton for a usb drive

hey i was wondering if you can get simple virus protection on a usb drive, there is a pretty pointless virus at school where it just keeps creating applicationg that looks like all my folders and you onlt get it via usb. I want my usb to jsut block the virus from changing my files is this possible?

It's called flash disinfector. After making sure its clean it places an file on there to stop infections from getting into it.

I used a simple methods to protect my pendrive against common viruses. Just simply create a blank text file and name it as autorun.inf (Do this on a clean computer)
Mark the file as read only and hide it.
Most virus create an autorun file in the pendrive. But since the pendrive already has a read-only autorun file, normal virus will not have anything much to do on the pendrive.
