Can anybody tell me the Procedure for getting rid of a virus

IT would help if we knew what virus you have or any information that may be usefull.

I have windows ME On the bottom Icon says my computer is Infected, I cannot even get to my desktop nothing works, I wouldnt know what kind of virus I have.

hmmm, do you have an anti virus installed?

Thats to prevent viruses, not only that no programs are working for me to download anything.

I would suggest reformating then. Im not much of a virus guy. I would just wait for someone more experienced.
