vista 32 local area connect must be reset after sleep

it didnt do it before, i swapped motherboards and the other motherboard turned out to be fried, so i went back to my original setup (without changing any drivers etc) and now everytime it wakes up (after being in sleep mode) the internet connection must be reset, this is on a desktop, and hard line, no wireless

any idea on countering this?

Are the 2 motherboards the same? If not you will have to do a repair install of the OS.
