I would get 64bit, works with all 32bit apps and will be able to run 64bit apps. Also you can have up to 16gb of ram compared to 3.25gb that 32bit allows.
Yeah, 64bit Windows runs faster, the built in Windows apps like WMP and just basic explorer with moving files and stuff is faster... It is pretty stable too.
