All i do is pretty much just play alot of games and surg the net. Would it be wise for me to upgrade to vista 64 in order to have more ram? Or should i just get faster ram instead. Currently using 4g DDR2 at 800. Was thinking gettin 1000 speed anyway.

Any help Appreciated

I'm not sure of any game that would need more than 4GB of 800MHz RAM. You aren't going to see huge performance increases from 800 to 1066.

hmm

what would you suggest in helping with loading times and such? This is my first real build (have been 2 other build, but simple ones.) I wasn't looking forward to spending more cash, but will do it when i think its viable. But is comforting to know that more knowlegable peeps than myself will help me to hold on to my money a little longer :)

Are you talking loading times in game? And btw since you're using 32 bit you can only utilize 3.25 GB of the 4GB that you have...if you didn't know already.

yes

Yes, i was referring to increased load in games, and startup and shut down of computer as well. And also yes, i did know only 3.2 is recognized

Startup and loading are affected by a lot of factors such as HDD speed, RAM speed, and CPU speed. Clean out your startup programs if you want faster startup and Im pretty sure you can set drive detect to manual so you dont have to wait for the comp to detect drives when its booting up. Defrag your HDD and that should help startup too (if its a mess). OCing should help increase game loading though it wont really be worth it. Your setup is good so you really wont see a huge increase in game loading even if you get faster RAM. Unless its slower then usual I wouldnt worry about it :). Just my opinion.
