Vista 64 Bit Help

I just installed Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit on my new pc, I have installed all video/display drivers and Directx 10, but for some reason the doesn't look right. The resolution end of it is fine, but the Windows Aero feature doesn't work, the window transparency doesnt work, and when I open new windows they open up all boxy, and slowly. I can't figure out whats wrong, all my drivers are 64 bit versions. My video card is a Zotac 9800 GTX.

Open up dxdiag, click on "display", and see if it actually sees your video card and knows what model it is.

Oh wow I feel like an idiot, the theme was set to Windows Basic, rather than Windows Aero. Working fine now.

I was going to suggest you changing that, but when you said they were moving slowly it led me to think that it was a driver issue.

Just for future reference, the same thing may be caused by the fact that Vista hasn't refreshed your "Vista experience" score after you've installed drivers. All you need to do is refresh it manually. This has been the case when I've installed Vista.
