So I'm trying to drag a file into a program in the programs(86x) folder and when I try it is says "windows cannot create a shortcut here. do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead". I then tested it out by just trying to drag it into random folder in the program files (x86) folder and the regular program files folder and for every folder I try it says the same exact message..what do I do?
vista 64 bit problem.

It's the permissions on the folder that are preventing you.

Mostly to add mods on games and adding files for mods. Also one of my games needs a no-cd crack since I scratched up the disc :| and I have been told this I see the folders checked on read-only, I try to change the attributes and I apply them then when I click ok and go back read only is still selected.
