concorde New Member Jun 8, 2008 #2 Kind of both. If you have a 64 bit machine, use a 32 bit OS. It's speedier in most cases. 32-bit openSUSE runs like lightning on my Athlon 64 (64 bit) Try openSUSE, it's my most favorite *new* Linux.
