Vista and laptops?

When Vista does come out how long do you think it we be before we see it on laptops? I mean from everything I hear you need alot of ram and a realy good video card to run Vista and thats something you just dont see in laptops so do you think manufactures like dell and compaq will just keep loading XP on their laptops?

I think you will see Vista on labtops within days of vista coming out. You don't need that high end of a system to run vista, it will run slower then XP though.

vista can run on most laptops that have over 1gb of ram and over 1ghz cpu and thats for the premium

my friend has a laptop which has a sticker "vista ready" it's an HP dv5000
but i believe those are not very efficient for running vista

Same here, fixed up a Dell Latitude D620 at work for someone and it's Windows XP sticker says "Windows Vista compatable"

You dont need 1GB of ram for vista....Thats unporportinal.
