Vista and USB wireless

I just got a new PC with the Windows Vista Operating system. I decided to use my LINKSYS USB wireless adapter on it and its works but the pc now has some kind of hardware conflicts and I called DELL and they said it's probably the hardware I added. The PC will restart once an hour and the screen turns a bright blue before it restarts. Once it restarts it asks me if I would like to start windows normally or in safe mode. The card works fine on my other PC that has Windows XP. The item is a Linksys Wireless-b USB Network Adapter Model No WUSB11.

Should I buy a newer card or is there a way to fix this issue? Any help is appreciated.

The bright blue screen is called a BSoD. Blue.Screen.Of.Death. Its mircsoft's trademark and they constantly being ridiculed by it. The wireless adapter is most likely causing the conflict. First, we are going to turn off Vista automatic restart after system failure:

Click on Start and then Control Panel.

Click on the System and Maintenance link.

Note: If you're viewing the Classic View of Control Panel, you won't see this link. Simply double-click on the System icon and proceed to Step 4.

Click on the System link.

In the task pane on the left, click the Advanced system settings link.

Locate the Startup and Recovery area and click on the Settings button.

In the Startup and Recovery window, locate and uncheck the check box next to Automatically restart.

Click OK in the Startup and Recovery window.

Click OK in the System Properties window.

You can now close the System window.

The next time your computer Bsod's on you, you can right down all the information given. You be sure to write down the codes given, and whatever is on the screen. Postback here with your cored written.

----------Predicting:

There is an error of how vista communicates with the drivers of the wireless usb adapter. I would suggest you reinstall drivers for it, and find out what kind of Vista you have (32 or 64 bit?). Installing 32 bit drivers for a 64 bit OS will cause BSoD's.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I went to Staples and purchased a new USB wireless adapter and no more issues. Thanks nonetheless.
