Vista (B) MIA!

I have been trying to network 3 units, 2 laptops which are wireless and a desktop which is wired, the desktop is running XP and the others Vista. The Desktop can network with one of the vista (A) and share files but not with vista (B)
Vista (B) can open files in vista (A) but (A) can’t in (B) which can’t even see the desktop, I pretty sure vista (B) has got something turned off that’s not letting the other 2 computers network but I can’t find what?
Anyone have any thoughts on what I’m missing on Vista (B)? Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i dont know much about vista yet as i havent used it loads, but are they all part of the same MS workgroup? (i.e. WORKGROUP or MSHOME)...

The Desktop XP can network with one of the vista (A) and share files, I guess if they weren't part of the same work group this couldn't be happening. Vista (B) is right out if the box and only days old, might be a problem with the manufacturing. Who knows I'll just keep on chipping away at it I guess, that’s how I got everything else running, but a little input would be useful.
