I currently have Vista Basic installed, and I saw that the Vista Premium upgrade is only $79USD.. so I was thinking about doing it since I have an Xbox 360 I can use with Media Center.
A few questions, though;
1.) If I purchase the upgrade, do I get a new key for the Premium Upgrade?
2.) If I get a new key, will it be OEM.. since my Vista Basic is OEM.. or will I receive a retail key (retail provides support from M$, that's why I ask)
3.) Is the Aero Desktop the same in Premium as it is in Ultimate? If not, what are the differences?
4.) If I choose the upgrade, does it effect the data (music, photos, etc) that's on my PC? ..or will the upgrade simply 'unlock' new features within Vista Basic.
5.) Do you happen to know if M$ will send out a Home Premium disc in the even that I choose to upgrade? I have an Anytime Upgrade disc, so it isn't a problem if they don't.. but it'd be nice to have the original disc.
