ok so i just reformatted and installed vista.

now every few minutes i get a bsod that says "driver irql not less or equal"
and down below it says somethign about "ndis.sys"

so what do i do?
i think i had this problem last time...
i have searched google and am about to try removing a stick of ram and reinstalling my ethernet drivers...

any other ideas?

thats the same message I continue to get yet I have never had Vista on my computer I just built the thing. I believe you replied to my thread a day or so ago.

yours is different in the error message.... and says nothing about ndis.sys.

my bsod hasnt happened since i isntalled my network drivers... which i shouldnt have needed to do as the net was already working... but it fixed it...

as for your bsod i really cant work out what it is... sorry.
its getting late here, ill give it proper thought tomorrow.
although i know how frustating it is :(

Thank you and sorry I can't help you on yours. Im a newb to this build your own comp and install everything. Can you install drivers without an OS on it?

nope... they will only install once you have an OS..

ill take another look now and see if i can fix yours.

haha i hate reformatting... its nice to start fresh... but it takes me around a week to get everything back to the way i like it haha

well leave a 2gb stick in and reinstall. once thats done then put the other stick in. should work.
