will this computer be able to run WINDOWS VISTA when it comes out. does this have the minimum requirements to run VISTA.
COMPAQ EVO PIV 1.8GHZ, 1GIG, 30GHD, DVD, WIRELESS, XP PRO, ATI RADEON MOBILITY 7500 32MB. is there anything i can upgrade to make it compatable?

i would probally go at least 80gb's on the HDD, and if your graphics are intergrated, then you should be able to tweak those in the BIOS.

your hdd and video card should be upgraded..
you will probably still get some lags with a 1.8ghz. just dont run the aero and transparencies.. you should still be in pretty good shape.

yeah but still not that great to run vista on 1.8

well, if it's a laptop then.. just upgrade ur hdd. external even possibly.. if ur not familiar with or know how to change it on a laptop.

yea really, i'd stay with XP 4 a whilee, thats what im gonna do, i see no reason 2 upgrade, just because it's a new os, probrably going 2 cost $500. SP3 4 XP was going 2 come out 3 hrs. after the release of Visa, soo i heard.

lots of computers say vista capable... but wont all run great with it, they don't all have the requirements... I don't know how some companies get away with putting that on their crappy PC's
