hi i have partitioned my hdd usine partition magic and i am trying to install vista beta 2 on the partition it will install so far then said an error occured while prepairing the install drive. i dont know what this means please help

sounds like something has goen wrong with your new partition, have you tried installing it on the partition that your other OS is installed on?

I would not try installing it on the partition your other OS is on if you are just looking to try out Vista and still want to have the option to use your other OS.

Make sure you read what Trizoy's wrote.

Also, you could try using partition magic to delete that partition you made and then create a new one to see if it works the second time around.

I have not installed Vista myself yet, so these are just general OS installation tips.
