Well, considering the parts you have listed there, you will need the 64bit version of whichever you choose all of that RAM. Start with Vista Home Premium. It should suit your needs quite well. You can always upgrade to Ultimate later if you wish.

There is no "Pro" version of Vista. Are you thinking of Vista Business?

yep you definitely need 64 bit with that 6 gigs of ram. but say goodbye to alot of usefull programs if you use 64 bit. like peergaurdian...

you dont really need to use anything higher than like vista home premium. i have ultimate, and i dont use any of the features of it. but that depends on the person. im not sure what really comes with ultimate tbh...

Definately x64 and you can get XP in x64 as well if you prefer. Yes, Home Premium is probably all any of us need but the Ultimate version only cost me a little more. I noticed it's still pretty inexpensive(relatively) on a lot of wares houses. 32 bit(x86) has the 3GB RAM limitation so...

If you want to exploit that 6GB...x64 is the way to go!;)

Vista64 tends to be a quite a bit better at 32bit app compatibility than XP64.

Poo...Peerguardian doesn't like Vista64?? I was just about to try their Vista Beta in Win7 64...:(

Peer Guardian is compatible with 64 bit. Takes some work, but it works.
