vista inquiry

I downloaded two programs on my computer with vista home premium and now the computer freezes after a few minutes running. Tried to find "add remove programs" in control panel but it isn't there. Where did they hide it? Also, is there a way to add a dial up shortcut to the desktop like every other version of windows since windows 95?

What two programs were they? If they aren't in the add/remove programs control center and it's causing problems with your computer, it's probably either a virus or spyware. Download AVG and Ad-Aware and run both.

To uninstall programs you have to go into the control panel under Programs and Features. To add a dial-up icon on the desktop, you'll have to first creat a network connection for the dial up. Then just right click on it and send it to desktop as shortcut.

downlaod ccleaner and that program has add remove programs list built within the program. no searching windows Vista for the NOOBS

im far form a noob with windows buddy . you mis read this as the OP had troubles finding the add remove programs menu in vista.

i Merly suggested to run ccleaner as it takes out all the searching for the NOOBS. catch my drift now.
