Vista Laptop Internet Issues...

Okay i'm having issues getting this to work, and i can't get to any webpage.. I can get connected using the wifi, it says it's connected to my wireless network, yet i cannot visit any pages, i've ran virus and spyware checks and have gotten nothing... SO idk what the issue might be...
 
My dad has Vista OS too...I am not sure if he is having the same problem but he told me
that it is not really advisable to do away XP... Since you had yours, Vista already and you're experiencing some mishaps, then I recommend you to visit this site and get some troubleshooting help..http://support.microsoft.com/ph/11732

What was the last thing you did before this thing happened? Did you try to update IE?You might want to restore your machine to the date it was working fine. If in case you did update your IE to a higher version before this thing happened, try to uninstall it, update it again, but this time, restart your computer first before doing anything else..hope this helps...
