I heard on a review on newegg that vista only reads you PC of having 3Gb or RAM. So far I only have 2gb but I intend to ungrade it to 4gb later this year and does anyone know if this information is correct? cause I eventually want to expand my RAM to 8 gb...

Point of 128gb of R.A.M??
Where the hell do you get a Motherboard that will suffice 128Gb

64-bit addressing allows for a very great address space. And in the future, you can bet that even desktop boards will come to support more RAM than they do today.

Remember when XP could support up to 4GB? People said they would never need that much.

64-Bit OS's are going to be around for a while, so it's a good thing they can support 128GB of RAM.

i think it was 64 bit only recognizes and utilizes all 4 gigs of ram
Yes, all 32-Bit Windows-based OS's can only access around 3GB.

All 32-bit operating systems have a technical limit of 4GB, but in actuality you will be able to see and access only between 2 and 3GB. I have the same motherboard as you do, and I was able to see only 2.8GB of my 4GB of RAM, so I ordered the x64 media for Vista and swapped over. Very glad I did. I've had a great experience with 64-bit so far. Even a 7-year-old printer works just fine. Do your homework first, but I'd strongly recommend making the switch. You'll need to if you want access to more than 2.8GB of RAM.

Caution, though, when installing Vista x64. You will need to install Vista with only 2GB of RAM installed, then run all the updates, and then install your other 2GB of RAM. Vista x64 won't support 4GB of RAM without a patch. Works great after that.

Not all of them. If you have an OS that can switch the CPU into PAE mode, you have the techinal oppunity to address more than 4 GB. But Microsoft made the decision that desktop editions of Windows should not go beyond this limit

Funny that I have installed Vista premium 64bit on three computers with 4gbs of ram without a problem! Never heard of a patch for Vista 64 bit to read 4gbs and over of ram.

I've seen several posts op different forums about Vista crashing when installing 4 GB. Microsoft has relased som patches dealing with BSOD and 4 GB

Never heard of it with the 64bit version. I havent had a problem with it. I have heard of a few people having problems during the install with the 32 bit version with 4gbs or more installed
