vista or xp

so as some of you might know im getting a new mobo and since im getting a new mobo which means i gota install a new operating system and last time i checked on vista a while back ago every one said it sucked my 3 older brothers had vista and they downgraded back to xp but ive bean lurking around and now every one wants vistia cuz of that 64 bit thing witch i know it means more ram but what else does it mean also ive never really learned any thing about linux so im making a poll for with one would you prefer

Now SP1 is out for vista, everything is fixed, so go for vista.

As for what version, i always suggest Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP1.

I'd Probably suggest Home Premium 64bit.
Ultimate is the most complete, but i feel that it's overburdened. Great for a business system, but doesn't offer many extra features for an average user.

hence the "Home edition" label. home sucked for XP but i think home premium is the new professional.
