Vista Pre-RC install

I've got Vista Pre-RC on my system, when Vista final is released can I just install it over the RC version without having to delete all of my files and programs?

OS's always run better when they have a clean install, copying over old OS's can bring down performance and cause issues. And programs wont work after an upgrade, only your files would remain.

I would recommend just backing up your files and then re-installing with the new OS.

^ Agree. Also, by the time it comes out, there might be a lot of changes that you might want a clean install to take advantage of all of it. There could also be a slight possibility that the final release might not let you upgrade or install over a beta or rc release because of the bugs and issues.

Also, the BETA version expires sometime early next year, so unless you want to have an unusable OS for several months, you will probably have to use something else while you wait for the new OS to be released.
