Go with 64, you are limited to using 3.5gb of Ram, if you have 4gb and are using 32.
This doesn't make sense. I do not know what message you are trying to state, please be more clear. Thank you.
As for the other posts, I am planning on getting a 64bit processor so I think the Vista Ultimate 64 will be right for me.
Is this true that there is a limitation on RAM amount if you have a certain type processor? Thanks..
go with 64bit, its newer, better, and more advanced. if the prices are so close, why go with the older version? IMO they shouldn't even have released a 32bit version of vista. you don't get people to advance/upgrade by supporting outdated technology.
Also, with a 64-bit OS, you are immune to 32-bit viruses.
Sorry to butt in here, but does that mean that using 64 bit would cause compatibility issues with playing current/older PC games?
That's partly true, the problem is there's still alot of 32-bit applications, infact most of Vista's (and espacially XP) built-in programs run 32-bit, 64-bit emulated, so completely missing to advantages of 64-bit.
Not that 32-bit can't run on 64-bit, it's just not alot of software utilizes 64-bit just yet.
then again, 64-bit is the OS of the future and will eventually become the next big "thing"...
Where did you hear that? Since 64-bit OS can still run 32-bit software...
