Vista Question from a Noob

Hi guys, I'm sorry that this is a stupid question, but I have no experience with installing new operating systems.

I just downloaded the Vista Beta 2 ISO file, burned it, yada yada yada, but I haven't installed it yet. Does installing Vista completely erase your hard drive? I ask this because I have ~ 115GB of data that I wouldn't want lost just if I were to install a new OS for the hell of it.

Well

What you will want is to create a new partition first (the installation CD will have the tools required) and then install the OS there. That's all and you will not lose any data and your other operating system will remain :P
