Vista - Recording Software

What software could I get for Vista that would record music? For example, I have Magix Music Studio 11 but it doesn't work with Vista and I need recording software that does ASAP!
 
Have you tried running it in compatability mode in Vista?

In order to do that, right click on the .exe file that's going to run the program and got to properties. Find the Compatability tab and click the box that says "Run this in compatability mode for:" and choose XP.
