vista-screen resolution

I just upgraded from xp to vista. Now my screen resolution is stuck at 640x480 and it won't let me change it. The latest drivers from Dell are installed, so how do I fix this?

Are you using onboard video or an AGP or PCI-E type expansion card there? If you are running an older model the changes are likely that the video is not Vista ready and lacks support for the new version of Windows. You may have also downloaded the wrong version of drivers seeing this.

ok I figured it out. I figured that would happen as soon as I asked on here. I guess I just needed to get a new driver for the graphics controller. Now I can really check out Vista.

So you are now able to change resolutions with a different update. Matching drivers up will be a little touchy at the present moment just like XP was back when where Dell and others are a little slow in the support dept.! So expect some delays at times.
