Vista Service pack 1

Ok,,everything has been running smooth with my laptop but now I downloaded Vista Service pack 1 and now i cannot get on the internet with it even hard wired.

Ive tried both mozilla and IE but keep getting the same message cannot connect.

I know I have a internet connection on that computer because I can turn on Yahoo messenger and send and receive messages on it.

Ive run Avast and no infections.I turned off the firewall to see if it was blocking it and nothing.This all started as soon as Service pack 1 was installed.


I am at a loss.HELP ME>

If you haven't already, uninstall/reinstall your network drivers. Check your mobo's support page and see if there's any driver updates or known issues w/ SP1.

I figured out what the problem was.

This laptop had nortons 360 on it and I removed that and installed avast.Well nortons left something blocking my browser from connecting to the internet.I went to Nortons and downloaded the nortons removal tool and it fixed it right up.


I hate Nortons and McAffee
