Vista speech recognition.

I was wondering if anyone tried to write a document with the speech recognition in windows Vista.
I tried that and I have to say it sucks big time.
I used the speech recognition to open and close windows and files and it's fairly fine, but to write a document, it's easier to get a 10 years old to write it for you.

Lol i haven’t used it myself but isn’t that speech recognition what Microsoft was showing off but it didn’t work and embarrassed bill gates yet again.

I still think Vista will be very buggy for a long time yet.

To write a document in word doesnt it get you to read some books? I know it does in office 2003 or 5 or whatever one ive got on my other computer.

I mean, you don't have to read any books or extracts from books, but it helps windows to understand you better.

I don't know what you're talking about, but there is a tutorial that you take at first which helps it to recognize your voice better.

And I think I'm missing something coz it works 70% fine with the listening mode but when I get into typing mode it just won't write a single word.
It writes weird stuff like #%#&^$&*%( .
But it writes numbers.
I just don't get it.

OK I must be missing something
Coz I watched online demos and it seems to work fine.
Any ideas?

UPDATE: OK I recognize now that the problem is on Messenger.
I can speak and it writes in notepad. It's just Windows Live Messenger that won't write anything.

Agreed, saying the commands to close and open documents/folders, does it perfectly, but when you say "go to adress" in firefox, it doesnt, but it does when your in IE, so i tried the "Start Spelling" command, and that works pritty good.
