Vista sucks

So.

About half the time, when I boot up I get an error. Windows media player has stoppped working. Windows internet explorer has stopped working. Windows sidebar has stopped working.

When I double click a media file, it does not open media player. However I can hear the sound playing. I have to open mp through the start menu. When I close mp, the media continues to play (can hear the sound) untill i push stop on my keyboard.

I constantly recieve "bitdefener has stop workin" crap when it autoupdates. WTF bitdefender/windows?

Never had these with xp.

Vista is garbage. If I hadn't gotten a free copy when I bought a new XP (I've been abusing an old dell copy of xp for years, MS finally got wise) I would not use it.

Yes, another vista "hater" thread.
If you have a problem with vista, do a search and find the proper running thread and post your annoyances there.

vista works fine for me, does your computer meet the requirements?

it seems to me, that peoples opinions/views on things are affected by others around them. For example, almost EVERYONE hates vista, but few know much about it, another example, almost EVERYONE hates Pres. Bush, but few know anything about him. You hear opinions from others, and slowly, their opinions (sometimes) become your opinions...

I've not fully tested Vista just yet, so I can't really relate. However, Windows XP is far from perfect. I know of people who have had the same problems you mentioned with XP. Of course it's been out longer and had the kinks worked out, but still ANY OS can have it's fair share of problems...
