vista ultimate?

Is it worth the extra money? or shall i just purchase vista home premium?

Go with home premium ,ultimate is a waste of resources and moolah, the only thing that differentiate it from the others is the extra content etc etc..

u gotta love those extras, go all the way or go home u feel more complete when u have ultimate plus it sounds better

I got ultimate obviously, but I am considering uninstalling it and reinstalling MCE 2005. Vista takes a lot of resources-GPU, CPU, RAM. For real... I only got vista because it was "new" and had Aero. But if you don't game and such, yeah go for it. I don't really use the features of Vista Ultimate compared to Home Premium. Just Media Center, thats about it.

Read somewhere that 512mb more ram is recomended for anything above home and double the HDD space.

I was just curious cause I have Ultimate right now and I was thinking about downgrading to Basic or Home so less resources would be hogged.
