Vista Won't Shutdown......

For the past few times, when I go to shutdown me lappy, it will get stuck on the shutdown screen; one time I left it over night and it did that. Any solutions?

try in safe mode. it could be a process that is bad

I had and might still have that problem with my desktop, only in Sleep mode though. After Vista updated I haven't had it do it again....

I don't know if vista has sfc but if it does try running that
