Vivo question?

Looking for a new card. Is vivo needed for the input of analog video. I was digitalizing old 8mm tapes with an external capturing device and was wondering if a card be used to capture the video for editing. It seemed odd that lots of higher priced cards didn't have vivo and lower ones did. I searched a little and found it was used for watching tv on your computer. Is it useful for anything else?

For video capture you would be best off using a dedicated card, but a VIVO card could do it. All GF7 cards have VIVO, for ATi you need to get an all-in-wonder if it is an older model card, the newer models (x1X00) all have it.
