VLC media player problems

well when i click to watch a movie you know i click the icon and it opens the player up and then when i click another thing it replaces the first window i opened with the new song can i disable this so that each different file opens in a different vlc media player window thanx
 
there might be some settings that you can change... im not sure myself need to go back and check it out later after work...
 
hah!! i got it! i knew it was somewhere there!!!

anyway, if you go to Settings > Preferences
Click on Advanced from the left menu.
and then on the right under "Performance Options",
look for the check box with the phrase "One instance when started from file"
(you might need to scroll down a little)
make sure that it is unchecked...

voila! you can now open multiple file in multiple VLC windows....

hope the instructions are clear... sometimes im bad at giving instructions... :o
