VLC Media Player

I have VLC media player and I was wondering why it does not support the pause, stop, fast forward, and rewind keys on my keyboard. I realize that it is open source and there must be a plugin somewhere. You guys have any idea?

Pause/Play is atleast spacebar, don't know any other buttons used.

P is for Previous and N is for Next. I believe most of the shortcuts follow WMP minus the ALT key...

Its not actually VLC Player that produces the issue. Its actually the software for the keyboard. There are only certain programs that are compatible. You'll have to check with the manufacturer of your keyboard to find out what programs are compatible.
