hey guys,
in my college program we downloaded and were supposed to install vmware player for linux...
well my install ation froze up and was inactive for about 5 minutes or so ,so i though i could just close it and start again- and repair or uninstall if i needed to
BUT
it didnt work, it got to installing the wireless adaptors and thats it for the first installation
and now if i want to try to install the rest it says that its already installed and to uninstall first-problem is , is that it is not on the add/remove programs list...any sugestions?

thx in advance

  • Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
  • Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
  • Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Additional Tasks dialogue.
  • Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
  • Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
  • At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
  • Click on Misc and next Open Uninstall Manager
  • There find the name of the application/driver whatever you want to uninstall and uninstall it. If it's not there tell me and we will try to find another way.

i acutally found the fix apparantly there was a script that you can run from the vmware website that ccleaned up the registry entries the prevented it from being uninstalled
all in all its fine and dandy, but i will download the HJT for future reference incase i have that problem..

thanks alot:D
