Voltage for Ram+Mobo

Quick question about ram
I have this in mind

But takes 1.65V when the X58 UD3R mobo said:
6 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 24 GB of system memory(Note 1)
Will it electrocute the hardware?
Trying to prevent from doing so like a friend did to his somehow

Unless you are going to be overclocking your RAM stick with the voltage your motherboard is designed for or you will experience stability issues.

Gigabyte has a qualified vendors list on what memory is qualified for your motherboard.

Can you link us to that list? I believe DS/SS means double-sided/single sided. The other two I haven't clue.
