i want wondering if i got memory with 3-3-3-8 timings would i have to raise the voltage of my computer? it needs 2.1 volts to run that fast. and also. i have a hp pavillion and i cant find a way to get into the bios to adjust that stuff. any ideas?

Besides the user manual you should see the option to enter the bios at startup by pressing the DEL key or one of the F keys depending on the model. The HP support site should have the online or downloadable manual for review readily available. Once you are in the bios itself you will have to go through the "integrated peripherals" section and press the enter once you have the item highlighted for voltages. First you want to look through the manual since that will provide the details for that model.

What kind of memory is it? DDR2-533, 667, 800, etc?

Second, you dont have those option in an HP's BIOS.

On most prebuilds you will be limited for options as a rule. But it also depends on what make and model board as well as oc capability is part of the board's design. This is one reason why the manual's section on the bios settings will show what options are there to begin with.
