I've been OCing the VEnice for some time now, and I have gotten the FSB up to 245, with an HTT of 3.0 and a multiplier of 9. To push the CPU any higher had me cranking the vCore, as I had it up to 1.83ish, which is not good for it at all, as I've read. The vCore is back down to ~1.72, still very high, but I'm wondering why someone can crank the same processor to a lot higher FSB and not have the vCore be so high, while the system is still stable. After reading Praetor's OC101 many times, I can recall that jsut because you have the same gear doesn't mean that you can OC the same amount, but the FSBs I've seen are a big difference fomr my FSB and I'm wondering if there's something else I can do to raise the FSB, keep it stable, and keep the vCore at a reasonable level.
I've kept my RAM at a clock that it can handle. (PC3200 @ ~193MHz)
Thanks
