Voodoo NO!

If anyone knows about Voodoo Pc's, they are VERY expensive. A laptop/desktop that was expensive just to be expensive. Voodoo's have always had $500-1500 paint jobs, and premium boutique parts.

Here is an example of what one looked like

A base voodoo laptop started at $4500, and went up to $8000 with paint and dual graphics cards. Now, voodoopc.com lists two things. Mainly, a thin and light $2099 yet to be released notebook. If you download the specs, it can have a horrible small processor, and INTEGRATED graphics. No one expected this from the gaming boutique Voodoo, but if this is their future, they will have upset a lot of people.

Yes,well there own by HP now.Hp ruin everything :( Just like Alienware over priced, and Alienware is own my "Dude your getting a Dell!" :P

"Dell had been considering buying Alienware since the year 2002, but did not take any action until March 22, 2006, when it agreed to purchase the company".There owned by Dell dude go to Wikipedia!

Voodoo, when xps's were shipping with dual 8800 graphics cards, only had dual 8700m gt graphics cards. I don't think HP is putting enough into Voodoo, it looks like it has been taken over by steve jobs..

From wikipedia "
New Direction

Since the acquisition of Voodoo in 2006, the business has been re-developing the brand of Voodoo. Which culminated on the 10th June 2008 with the revelation that Voodoo will focus on high-end, top spec computers rather than gaming machines. While continuing with Voodoo DNA machines with HP.
For the launch of their new brand direction they used the tag line of 'Blending Art, Innovation and Perfomance for Life;' confirming the businesses future as a HP brand.
Although not released yet, the Envy 133 laptop has been announced as generally available, while the Omen will (initially) be purchasable by invitation only."

Are you serious? You can't even purchase the Omen when it comes out? No more gaming for Voodoo?

wow... you probably have to buy the invite for 10k in the first place, when their laptop is probably going to cost another 10k...i think i made one that was 45k once(desktop i mean) i mean the freaking chair was 4.5k and shipping was another 1k with a 3k paint job =\

The new Voodoo laptops will start at $2099. I don't know about the desktops, but the laptops suck really bad for any computer. They only have thin and lights in the plans, not even a decent model.

VoodooPC makes absolutely astounding PC's. They are rock-solid reliable and very well put together, that's what you are paying for. If I had the money I would have gone with them over any other company.

Alienware, along with Voodoo, are overpriced because of the support and quality of them. How can an "overpriced" computer company stay in business? Because they don't want people that can't afford their computers. How did IxBlackheartxI say that HP isn't good? He in no way said that.

Because Noobs buy them and think they're the best.

Looks like Voodoo is making a laptop that competes with the MacBook Air.

Alienware is one of the few companies in which you can get dual 8800 graphics cards in a laptop besides sager, dell, and a few others.

And, making someone with an alienware/voodoo pc does not make them a noob. It shows that they are smart enough to get a laptop with good specs. My laptop is not a premium laptop, so this does not relate to me, but most alienware customers.

@g25racer, Voodoo's sales have decreased after HP aquired them. I liked voodoo better before hp aquired them, because they were gaming laptops. Saying the truth about sales decreases does not mean the same thing as if he said "I know Voodoo isn't doing that good since Hp took it over, because HP is crap"

Dell's expensive xps gaming laptops have them, alienware has them, and sager has them. They are the main three. Sure, internet resellers have laptops with similar specs, 8gb's of ram, (yes true), and tri hard drives, but only a few name brand have dual 8800's. Keep in mind, dual 8800 graphics cards in a laptop is a $1000 upgrade usually, so "common" laptop users would not get a computer of this tier or an upgrade of that tier.

HP, Lenovo, Sony, Toshiba, Compaq, Apple, Panasonic, Gateway, Acer, Fujitsu, LG, Packard Bell, Everex, Benq, and almost all others do not have that as an option.
