VooDoo Pc's anyone have one ?

does any one have a voodoo pc ive been looking and i kinda set my heart on one of their laptops
I was wondering if anyone here has one to tell me if they are nice enough computers to spend the money on or go with something else?
 
Learn how to build one. I didn't know anything about computer when I register here and now I know quite a lot. BTW i have never build a computer before but I am not worried about it. it is a ton cheaper to build than to buy pre-build/coustom build by someone else.
 
They are incredibly overpriced, and as OMEGA said even more than Alienware which is ridiculous. Their laptops are basically desktops, or atleast they way about the same.

For a laptop go with a Dell, I wouldn't suggest them to you for a desktop but for a laptop they are great. Even Sony if you have a higher budget, which I assume you do.
 
sorry i didnt see the laptop part. i wouldn't try to build a laptop. go with dell i heard there pretty good with there laptops. or maybe a HP
 
ive built a desktop before but its impossible to build a laptop. Unless u go to ibuypower.com or a website like that.
Which i would by a alienware because im not the one buying it its my mother for graduation So if i can spend under 5000 im doing everything i can to get the best
 
Laptops aren't that "impossible" to build. You can get "kits" or barebone laptops and go from there. Actually building the case would prove near impossible, unless you went the suitcase route or similiar.

I agree with all comments though, ridiculously overpriced. They look really awesome, and are quite powerful machines...but you could do better with another company as far as bang for buck.
 
these days, you can buy a really good Apple Macbook Pro, load windows on it, and have a pretty good laptop... it's even better if you like Mac OSX.
 
To be honest, in a laptop, you should be looking for battery life, rather than performance. Why get a laptop if the battery dies in 1 hour, and it's double the price of a desktop with the same specs.

A nice, small, light laptop with a great battery life should be enough. ALL of the laptops from the major retailers are going to have at least half-decent specs anyway.

Exactly. There are several places which offer laptop kits that come with good screens, along with the board/graphics that you want and then you buy the processor and ram and anything else you really need and drop it in. These places generally get their stuff from the same ODM (Original Design something....basically where Dell, HP, and the like get their parts from before they put their name on it).
 
lol thats a given for the bat life but. I got to tell you the truth i love video games sooo with all the new things comming out i need top of the line parts to play at great speed.
 
Then get a desktop and save yourself some money. A *real* "gaming notebook" is damn near impossible to carry around comftorably(sp?), and forget using it for more than an hour unless it is plugged in somewhere...just like a desktop.

That's my opinion anyways. I see 0 possibilities for a "gaming notebook" personally, but they sell like hot cakes.
