Hi. New to the forum.
I'm buying a car diagnostic machine from europe. It's about £1500 cheaper then the UK distributor. Now I need to update the machine when update are available. The manufacturer will disable the machine if they see the IP address does not match the country it was sold in. From my understanding I can use a VPN to avoid detection.
Is this correct? If so how do i set a particular country to be my IP address. Let's use Germany as a example.
Also if I install the vpn does it need to be on the computer where my Internet modem and WiFi is connected to or do I just install it on my laptop and use the WiFi as normal.
Any particular free and paid vpn that you would suggest that don't cause any security issues to my pc or slow down my Internet.
Your help would be much appreciated.
