vsmon.exe

I use zone alarm internet security suit.

For some reason when ever i try to play a movie no matter a dvd or a .avi or .rm vsmon.exe will use up 100% of the cpu after like 15 min. It is kinda weird.

Does anybody know what is going on?

So is this site safe? There something about Run a Free Performance Scan, what is that all about?

on the discription it says it is important for the stable and secure running of my computer and should not be terminated but on the recomandation it says it is not a critical component. what does that mean?

Is it ok to use the tool on that site to remove vsmon.exe? what would happend to the firewall if it were to be removed?
