well if you do it right, which he did, and with minimal volatage increases, which he did, and with the right cooling, which he has, then you can do that

when i started OCing my X2 i was stuck at 2.1 from 2.0 and with a lot of experimentatiion i found my problem and got to 2.5 easily. i can go to 3.0 with the right cooling

you are probably doing something wrong, like i very similarily did. set everything to stock, loosen RAM timings, lower RAM speed a little, stock voltage on all, then raise FSB as high as you can and then minimally raise voltage and repeat that etc.

How do you know that you can get to 3.0? :)

i was like streaking the other day OCing, i kept going and going and going. there is nothing theoretically except heat that will keep me from 3.0. trust me, ill keep you posted as soon as i get aftermarket cooling lol

then i am gonna benchmark the CPU and see how close it is to a C2D

[X is define as C2D] then ill be so entirely stoked to the X^2 (X2) lol

I wish Rambo could just come over to my house and overclock it for me...or can he?....hmm...hows about $50 if you can. Possible more if under certain circumstances...I'm serious, not joking. PM me if your interested. There is much money to be made for you if you can.

lol seriously dude its not that hard, i mean you arent doing something right esp if you have an E6300 and a DS3.

i mean it boots and posts are runs your computer great, right?

lol, seriously I would pay him. Not kidding, rather a pro do it than a me, who is under just a bit of pro....hell, lets stop talking "not that hard" and start talking numbers. Rambo, whats your charge? too much and I say "fo get that" but yet if your price is resonable then we may have a deal.

just do it yourself! there are tons of step by step for a DS3 and C2Ds

and i read on tomshardware that "All failed overclocks required a BIOS reset." and you are saying that is automatic? because TH makes it seem manual...
