I wanna build a computer thats faster than what i have. I currently have a Intel4 with Windows XP professional. I don't wanna buy a new one. Can i use any motherboard to get this thing alive again.

Intel4? U mean intel P4? U would need a new mobo and new CPU for it to be faster. It rly depends on how fast you want to make it

I'm stumped. You want to build a new computer, but you dont want to buy one. You have a Intel4 and you think a new motherboard will make it faster.

I really think you need to read up some more on computer hardware before you start thinking about building one or upgrading one.

No, a new mainboard for the same processor won't improve performance meaningfully. A newer, faster processor and mainboard and memory would do that, assuming your case is generic enough to take a generic mainboard. Some are not.

I guess you should just look at the weakest parts of your computer and improve on them.

If your only looking for a little more speed theres plenty pf things you can do on XP to make it alot faster if you have been using it for a while.

A RAM upgrade it the cheapest way to revive an older system.

How much RAM do you have right now? You'd be amazed at what
1Gig would do in that system.

What brand and model is your pc, we'll dig up some specs for you.
