I have been looking around for a computer forum I like/trust and you guys are it.

I want stability for a change. Can go either way as far as Athlon or Intel but was leaning towards an Athlon 64 (venice?).
Not at all into "heavy gaming". Just a lil basic multitasking, and all yer typical online stuff. Gonna go with corsair xms 3200pro and was thinking about the raptor 74gb hard drive or Maxtor 300 with 16 mb cashe.
whats your advice for a solid stabil mobo? 3 pci is plenty and pcie16x
thanks

I kinda thought "very top-performance" sacrifices stability. if not-lay it on me

absolutely not. :) i mean.. whats the meaning of performance if your system crashes every 2 minutes? ;)

ok-very good point Archangel. I want the street legal Dodge Viper SRT-10 good for 100,000 miles instead of the 1/4mile top fuelie dragster.

He is right

The stronger your PC and the more expensive, the more reliable. Look at my system! I have had 1,2,3.... no Crashes EVER! Im sure if you get any PC made in the past 3 years it will be very reliable! It is NOT AT ALL like drag racing, and If it was, I would reccomend getting a 100 rpm hard drive
