Want to encrypt my network?

i have a wireless g router running and i want to encrypt it or just set a password to access it.

Its a g-net router and im not sure how to do it.
any ideas?

enter you ip address and it will take you to your router settings. it will prompt you for user name and password (enter the password as "admin" and nothing for the user). look their to set your wireless network password.
 
it should be in the manual.

If you don't have that then there should be an option for encrypting the network when you set it up.
 
ok. i can figure out how to encrypt it when i get to that menu.
but 192.168.1.1 brings me up to my modems page
and 192.168.0.1 does nothing

the manual is useless
what would i use to access it?
 
go to start --> run

type cmd then press enter

type ipconfig

take the IP address of the default gateway, and put that in the address bar in a web browser

then follow the above instructions abotu the username/password and how to get to the settings menu
